First of all, RIP to those lost during the tragedy of 9/11 and prayers to the families that lost loved ones. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out and will never forget it. It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years…
And to all the conspiracy theorists out there…I don’t even know what to say. We get it, the government is corrupt- it’s run by men. That’s what happens. Please stop stirring up paranoia and hysteria. I have a very low tolerance for political rhetoric, but that’s just me. I don’t trust men or the government, I trust God. But I don’t speak for everyone.
As the song says:
“My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand.”
On a lighter note, I had a lovely day yesterday. I woke up bright and EARLY to volunteer at a women’s shelter. Giving back is a blessing. I got the opportunity to talk with some 13 year old girls living there. I was so touched! They were sharing their dreams and goals and I was sharing mine and we had a blast. They’re so intelligent and beautiful and I hope that they never let their situations jade them but they continue to reach for the stars. I can’t wait to go back and see them!
Later that night I went to dinner for my friend’s mom’s birthday. As I get older, I find myself caring less about socializing and caring more about building real relationships with people I truly love. We ate at P.F. Chang’s. The food was great and our waiter was incredible (pronounced in-cre-DEE-blay).
Stay blessed.
P.S. I didn’t go to dinner by myself, I just didn’t get permission for anyone else’s pics. Just clarifying!
