Hey gang! I know it’s been a long while. Please forgive me. I’ve just been doing my thang. 😉
I had a great birthday and spring break. Pictures maybe sometime soon? I’ve been a tad lazy about uploading them. However, my life can totally be tracked on Instagram (kaishalittle10) lol.
Now, onto the real. I think I get most inspired by things that people do that annoy me. Ok, not true. But I do tend to step out of my blogging hiatus(es?) when I get irked by things. Previously, I have mentioned my status on critiquing people because of fashion and makeup choices. My latest qualms have been sparked by the critiquing of people’s vocabulary choices.
As of late, I have seen several tweets along the lines of “I get so irritated when people who don’t cuss say ‘lmbo’ instead of ‘lmao’. I guess that one letter was too f***ing risky for y’all”.
This wasn’t addressed to me personally, but I took it personally.
Where do I begin? First of all, I say “lmbo”. I say it because I don’t really curse. [Not] sorry that I don’t use language on the internet that I don’t use in real life. I’m aware that we live in a society that praises lewdness/crassness/vulgarity, etc., but at some point you have to grow up. In case you missed the memo, there is nothing sexy/cute/ladylike/attractive about having a potty mouth. At all. If anything, you look incompetent. Not saying that you are. I’m just saying that that’s how you’re choosing to portray yourself. There is nothing wrong with using the 12+ years of education that many of us have acquired to articulate yourself.
Second, and probably most importantly, what does my substitution of a single letter have to do with you in any way, shape, form, or fashion?? Why does my usage of the same language I would use in conversation with you upset you when I use it on the internet? I’m convinced that people like this have some sort of complex. My doing something different than you has nothing to do with YOU. It has to do with me and what I do/don’t do.
It’s foolishness. Do you get upset every time a vegetarian orders a veggie burger too? Grow up, people. And furthermore, be secure in what you’re doing and stop worrying about what everybody else is doing. The media is a deceptive mechanism driven by people who want you to buy into a lifestyle so that you will buy their products. It’s not real life. Believe it or not, there are people in this world who don’t smoke, drink, curse, and have sex with every person who walks past them (or with anyone). There are people who do these things in moderation lol. Don’t freak out when you encounter these people It’s actually normal. If you’re happy doing what you’re doing then why should it matter to you whether or not somebody else is joining you?
Everybody is the way they are for a reason. Everyone has a story.
If you won’t even accept people for who they are, then why should people have to accept you for who you are?
And in case you missed he moral of this story: I will continue to be myself. If you don’t like it, build a bridge and GET OVER IT. And every other human being has this right.

I’m not upset with any individual (just disclaiming for anyone who posted one of those tweets and may be reading this). I’m more upset with this national attitude that has been pumped into young people. Ya know, the ridiculous slogans that we see everyday:idgaf, fml, yolo, m.o.e., live fast die young, let’s all get high and be gangstas, b.m.f, p***y money weed, it’s cool to be an a-hole, who needs an education when you can be famous, etc. I’m over it. Wake up, my friends. Wake up.
