Today was the first day of classes for me. It was a pretty good day. Honestly, class didn’t start until 2:30 so I had time to eat, do my mom’s hair,  workout (word to the wise: DON’T get off the wagon. Starting over SUCKSSSS), have my quiet time, pack food and make myself look presentable. That’s my type of day.

It took me forever to park but that’s the usual at my school. I then had to walk half a mile ( that may be a slight exaggeration) in the sweltering heat only to walk through the maze that is referred to as the School of Management. Ya girl was perspiring. I will never understand why they insist on making the classrooms freezing yet the hallways feel like summer in Jamaica. Don’t they know how oily I get?!

I think I’m really going to enjoy this class. It’s my first emerging media and communications (EMAC) class. I’m starting to feel like this is what I should have majored in. I mean, obviously, I’m a blogger who spends most of her time on the internet with a strong affinity for social issues. But, oh well. The class is Reading Media Critically. When the prof was giving the overview I got super excited because I realized that I automatically view media through this type of lens due to my years upon years of literary/textual analysis (forced. Now, I just do it out of habit lol).

Shoutout to actually enjoying school! Whoohoo. I hope everyone else is having a great start back to school.
