2014, Give it to me.

First things first: Happy New Year!

Goodness. If 2013 has meant anything to me, it has meant change.

I can’t really say anything in my life that has remained constant this past year. It has been a game changer!

One thing I can truly say is, change is scary. However, I’ve also learned that the scariest things usually hold the greatest  rewards. Taking a chance involves a big risk. I dare say that you don’t usually regret the results of taking a risk. If nothing else, they usually make for great stories.

Sometimes, we have to step outside of our comfort zones. Way outside. I can definitely say that I’ve set out to do that this year (and following). It has been scary. It has been traumatic. It has been lonely at times. I  have had to and am still having to walk away from things that I may really enjoy. I’m having to step into the unknown and unfamiliar. But it’s all been so fulfilling.

See, I know that no matter what, God has me covered. I can rest in that. I can take chances and risks.

Understand that, even if the worst thing you could possibly imagine happens to you, you could STILL survive it. Let go of the stuff you’re holding onto, so that you can grab onto something even better!

In 2014, I’m looking forward to embracing life with open arms. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to roll with the punches and figure stuff out along the way. Life is precious, and it is hard, and we’d better learn to laugh and enjoy what bits of it we can.
In 2014, I’m looking forward to looking fear right in the eye, and not backing down.
In 2014, I’m looking forward to health. Spiritual, mental, and physical health make for a life a true wealth.
In 2014, I’m looking forward to a closer walk with God.
In 2014, I’m looking forward to new things, bad things, hard things, and great things.

Just like with every other year, I plan to make it the best one I can.

xoxo Kaisha
