If you know her, you love her. She has the brightest smile on this side of the Mississippi. She’s the most passionate person I know. She doesn’t give up on anyone or anything ever. She fights tooth and nail for what she wants and for what she believes in. She is the strongest person I know, but has learned to be vulnerable. She calls me Cora, and her womb fruit. She is my biggest fan and my cheerleader.
It’s funny to think that when I met my mom, she was in her twenties. Not much older than I am. Now, I look at her and see a woman who’s learned to live her life to the fullest. She takes no nonsense, and loves fiercely.
You always tell me how proud you are of me, but today I want to tell you how proud I am of the woman you’ve become. I love you more than words can express. You are my bestfriend and my homegirl and my therapist and my sister and my mother and everything in between.
I love you, Mommie!
